Nexus is outer space exploration: a structured mission world where learners practise systems thinking, forecasting, and calm decision‑making inside a living sci‑fi environment.
Nexus is now playable in the browser as a demo, and is currently being playtested. Crews in exosuits work
across the Bridge/Command, Operations, Engineering and Flex/Security decks, moving between them by the Transmuter.
They tackle problems such as a coolant leak or a malware intrusion using real cyber-security style commands
like diff, view and del, guided by Shipmind, the ship's calm, supportive AI.
It is designed for young people, including SEN learners, and Nexus clubs are being planned in Oxfordshire through
Edventures.
Nexus places learners inside a starship where every system, every deck, and every decision is connected. Missions unfold through a clear loop of observation, analysis, action, and reflection. Learners explore complex situations, recognise patterns, and respond with clarity — all within a calm, predictable structure.
Nexus is not just a game. It is a training ground for structured thinking, situational awareness, and low‑pressure decision‑making.
